Ingredients

500 g. chicken ( small cut)

100 g. red lentil

100 g. yellow lentil

100 g. chick peas

200 g. chinigura rice

100 g. tomato

50 g. shredded onion

10 g. garlic paste

10 g. ginger paste

01 tsp turmeric powder

01 tsp mixed hot spices powder

01 tsp cumin powder

01 tsp dry red chili powder

01 tsp coriander powder

01 tbsp. salt or ( as per taste)

04-05 pcs green chili

02-03 pcs dry red chili

01 tsp cumin seeds

02 pcs bay leaf

05-06 pcs cardamom

02 inches cinnamon stick

05-06 pcs cloves

09-10 pcs black pepper whole

Oil for cooking

Water for cooking

For marinate the chicken

01 tsp salt

01 tsp turmeric powder

01 tsp garlic paste

01 tsp ginger paste

1/2 tsp chili powder

 

Method

  1. Wash the rice and all type of lentil together then soaked the lentil and rice for about 01 hour then drain the water  .
  2. Marinate the chicken with salt, turmeric powder, chili powder , ginger paste, garlic paste then keep it 30 minuets  for rest .
  3. In a deep cooking pan assemble 1.5 liter water , rice and mixed lentil .  Keep the pan on top of the burner and boil until rice and lentil become soft .
  4. Put some oil on medium heated pan and fry the marinated chicken with brown color then keep in a side .
  5. On the other side , make a pan medium high heat add the dry red chili, bay leaf, cumin seed , cinnamon, cardamom , cloves, black pepper corn on the pan and wait for temper . Put oil on the pan then add shredded onion stir well and wait for onion become brown color .
  6. After onion   become brown color add green chili, garlic paste ,ginger paste , chopped tomato  and season with salt, cumin powder, chili powder, turmeric powder. coriander powder , mixed hot spices powder then add the fried chicken, boil rice and lentil .
  7. Cook all together on medium heat until become thick . Before Finish cooking adjust with salt .
