Chicken Curry with Tomato

In Bangladesh ” tok begun” is the Bengali name of Tomato . Basically Bangladeshi people like chicken curry is so spicy and hot test .When I add tomato on the chicken curry, that’s chicken curry become more testy

Ingredients:

⦁ 500 g. chicken bone less or with bone
⦁ 1/2 cup shredded onion
⦁ 02 pcs Tomato
⦁ 01 tbsp garlic paste
⦁ 01 tbsp ginger paste
⦁ 01 tbsp turmeric powder
⦁ 01 tsp cumin powder
⦁ pinch of cumin seed
⦁ pinch of black cumin seed
⦁ 01 pcs bay leaf
⦁ 02 pcs dry red chili
⦁ 2-3 pcs green chili
⦁ 01 inch cinnamon stick
⦁ 02 pcs cardamon
⦁ 3-4 pcs cloves
⦁ 5-6 pcs black pepper corn
⦁ 1/2 tsp mixed hot spices powder
⦁ Salt as per taste
⦁ Oil for cooking

For marination
⦁ 01 tbsp garlic paste
⦁ 01 tbsp ginger paste
⦁ 01 tbsp turmeric powder
⦁ 01 tsp cumin powder
⦁ 01 tsp dry red chili powder

Method:

I. Marinate the chicken with 1 tbsp garlic paste, 1 tbsp ginger paste, 1 tbsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp salt then keep it 30
minuet for rest.

II. Shallow fry the marinated chicken on medium high heat .

III. Make the pan medium high heat then roast bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cardamon, cloves, dry red chili, cumin seed, black cumin,
put oil after 01 minuet . When oil will be heat then add shredded onion and stir well, after onion become brown add garlic
paste, ginger paste, chopped tomato, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, green chili and continue stir until oil will come
out from gravy .

IV. Add fried chicken on the gravy and mixed well . After few minuet add 01 cup hot water and keep it on high heat for about 4-
5 minuet . Adjust with salt , sprincle the mixed hot spicies powder and wraplly cut tomato .

V. Cover the chicken curry and keep it on simmering point for about 10 minuet . After finish cooking enjoy with steam rice,
yellow fried rice or roti .
