Shidol is one of the traditional food of Rangpur division and north part of Bangladesh. Basically Shidol make from dry fish and black arum paste.
03 pcs shidol
50 g. onion
50 g. garlic cloves
04-05 pcs green chili
01/3 tsp turmeric powder
01 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp. salt
# Pan grill the shidol without oil then soak in hot water for about 5-10 minutes. After become soft return to the pan and reduce water and keep a side.
# In a medium heated pan put onion, garlic, green chili cook until soft. After onion, garlic become soft transfer to a mandolin and make it paste .
Again make the pan medium high heat then put mustard oil after oil become hot add shidol paste, onion-garlic paste and stir well . Season the Shidol paste with salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder and stir well. # Cook shidol paste more 02 minuets or until mixed well. Serve and enjoy the shidol mashed with warm rice .
