Roasted Whole Fish with Tamarind and Peanut

Majority percent of Bangladeshi people like sweet water fish . In this recipe I used Olive barb fish , but you can choose any type of fish .
Ingredients :
- 01 pcs whole fish 500g.
- 02 tbsp tamarind paste
- 01 tbsp roasted peanut
- 01 tsp black cumin
- 01 tbsp turmeric powder
- 01 tsp cumin powder
- 01 pcs medium size onion
- 01 tsp garlic paste
- 01 tsp ginger paste
- 01 pcs bay leaf
- 2-3 pcs dry red chili
- 01 tbsp salt
- 02 pcs green chili
- Mustard oil for cooking
Method:
- Clean and wash the fish very well then make it dry by using paper napkin . Marinate the fish with 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tbsp salt , keep it for 15 minuets .
- Make the pan high heat then put 02 tbsp oil after that fry the fish one by one side . After become nut brown transfer the fish in a plate .
- Again make the pan medium high heat put 01 tbsp oil then add bay leaf, dry red chili, shredded onion and stir well . When onion will become nut brown add garlic paste, ginger paste, roasted peanut paste, tamarind paste, crushed black cumin, green chili, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt and adjust with water .
- After oil come out from the gravy add the fish and keep it on simmering point for about 10 minuets
