“Palak Paneer” is one of the best vegetarian dishes in India and Bangladesh. Palak cooked with heavy cream and cottage cheese.

Ingredients

  • 500 g. spinach
  • 30 g. chopped onion
  • 20 g. chopped garlic
  • 10 g. garlic paste
  • 10 g. ginger paste
  • 2-3 pcs dry red chili
  • 3-4 pcs green chili
  • 01 tsp turmeric powder
  • 05 g. cumin powder
  • 03 g. red chili powder
  • 05 g. coriander powder
  • 02 pcs bay leaf
  • 03 g. mixed hot spices powder
  • 20 g. heavy cream
  • 10 g. salt
  • Oil for cooking
  • Pinch of cumin seed

Method of Preparation

In a deep pan need to make some water hot then add salt and leave the spinach in the hot water. Boil the spinach for about 1-2 minutes.

Take out the spinach from hot water and transfer to ice water for better color of spinach leaf.

By using a food processor make the spinach paste.

Cut the cottage cheese (paneer) by dice size. Toss with flour then Shallow fry the paneer.

Make the pan medium high heat then roast bay leaf, dry red chili, cumin seed, put oil after 01 minuet. When oil will be heat then add chopped onion and garlic stir well, after onion become brown add garlic paste, ginger paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, green chili and continue stir.

Add the spinach paste and keep it to medium heat for about 5-6 minuet then add fried paneer, heavy cream and mixed spices powder, stir well. Keep the palak paneer on simmering point with the lid for about 5-6 minutes.

After finished cooking enjoy the Palak paneer with steam rice, roti, paratha .
