Dry Jujube in molasses syrup


Baroi or kul is the name of jujube in Bangladesh . Dry jujube deep in molasses syrup is a good dessert . Commonly in Asia dry jujube use for making pickle/achar . Every villagers mother & grand-mother were making this type of food for their family members .


⦁ 50 g. dry jujube
⦁ 100 g. molasses
⦁ 100 ml. water


i. Wash the jujube and soak in water for about 30 minuet . Strain the jujube and drain the water .

ii. In a sauce pan or a deep pan put the water and molasses then bring it on boiling point . Add the jujube and cook in low heat for about 10 minuets or when molasses syrup will be thick then turn off the burner and make it cool . Keep the jujube in a jar and store in the refrigerator .
