Steam Fish is very common dish but this recipe is so unique. It’s one of the popular dish of Bengali cuisine .
Ingredients
- 04 pcs/200g Koi fish
- 08 pcs bottle gourd leaf
- 15 g. local mustard paste
- 05 g. ginger paste
- 05 g. garlic paste
- 03-04 pcs green chili
- 05 g. cumin powder
- 05 g. salt
- 20 ml. mustard oil
Method
In a mixing bowl put mustard paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, chopped green chili, cumin powder, , turmeric powder, coriander powder, then mixed with mustard oil.
Marinate the Koi fish with the paste then bring the koi fish on the top of bottle gourd leaf then wrap it.
Heat the steamer and keep the warped koi fish on the steamer trey and cover with a lid.
Cook for about 15 minutes or until koi fish is cooked. After finish cooking remove from the steam and separate the koi fish from bottle gourd leaf. Mashed the bottle gourd by using food processor. Serve the steamed koi fish with mashed bottle gourd leaf and enjoy with steam rice.
