Coconut Duck Curry

Coconut is so much popular for cooking in south part of Bangladesh .One byte of duck meat can make the juicy mouth with coconut test.


  • 01 kg.  duck meat
  • 01 cup coconut milk
  • 50 g. cube cut coconut
  • 50 g. shredded onion
  • 100 ml coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 04-05 pics cardamom
  • 05-06 pics cloves
  • 02 inch cinnamon stick
  • 01 tbsp cumin powder
  • 01 tsp coriander powder
  • 06-07 pics black pepper corn
  • 03-04pics green chili
  • 02-03 pics dry red chili
  • 02 bay leaf
  • Pinch of cumin seeds
  • Salt as per test
  • Oil for cooking


  1. Deep fry the coconut in medium heated oil and keep a side .
  2. Make the pan medium high heat then, dry red chili, bay leaf, cumin seeds , cardamom , cinnamon stick, cloves , black pepper corn and wait for tempered . Put the oil then add slice of onion and stir well , when onion become brown color then add onion paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, stir continue …
  3. Season the gravy with salt, cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder then add the duck meat and cook for about 05 minutes.
  4.  Add 01 cup hot water then cover with a lid and cook on medium heat until duck meat will cooked. When duck meat will cooked add coconut milk, fried coconut, cook for about 05 minuets. Add hot spices powder and green chili then reduce heat on simmering point and cover by lid for about 10 minutes. Remove the lid and enjoy its flavor, test with any rice dish or roti
