Kachki is the Bengali name of Corica fish . Its a very tasty and healthy fish from river . Very small and soft fish that’s why need to be careful while cooking .
Ingredients
200 g. Kachki / Corica Fish
200 g. Shredded Onion
100 g. Tomato
01 tsp. Ginger paste
01tsp. Garlic paste
02-03 green chili
05 g. coriander leaf
01 tsp turmeric powder
01 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
Salt as per taste
Oil for cooking
Preparation
In a mixing bowl put shredded onion, garlic paste, ginger paste, 1/2 quantity of tomato, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, mixed well with mustard oil . After mixing all the ingredients mixed again with kachki / corica fish ( don’t mix too much otherwise fish will be broken ) .
Make a pan medium high heat then roast the pinch of cumin seed then put oil after 01 minuet. When oil will be heat then add onion mixed fish . Cook gently with medium heat for about 05 minuets .
Add 1/2 cup of hot water to the pan then cover with a lid and wait 05 minuets . Open the lid, adjust with salt and put green chili, chopped coriander leaf and rest of tomato slice . Again cover with lid and keep it simmering point for about 05 minuets . Enjoy Kachki/corica fish bhuna steam rice
